Creating your design

How does it work?

Upload a photo, pick one of 12 manga styles, and our AI draws original manga artwork of you (or your family, friends or pets). You position it on the shirt, choose your colour and size, and order. What you see in the preview is exactly what we print.

How many free previews do I get?

Every visitor gets 2 free previews. Sign in and you get 3 more — 5 in total. Your free previews refresh every 7 days.

We also cap previews per network to stop abuse, so on a shared office, campus or household connection you may see "previews are paused for your network" even with previews of your own left. That clears the next day.

Where are my generated images saved?

Every image you generate is saved to the gallery on the device you used, so you can come back and order it later. The gallery holds your 20 most recent images — generate more and the oldest drops off. You can also remove any image yourself with its delete (×) button.

On our side, every generated image is automatically deleted after 30 days, so a gallery image older than that can no longer be ordered and will show as expired. The only exception is artwork you have already ordered, which we keep so we can print your shirt and help with any reprint or support requests.

What photos work best?

Clear, well-lit photos where faces are visible. Single portraits, couples, families and pets all work. JPG, PNG or HEIC, up to 10 MB. Any background is fine — the photo is only a reference for the artwork.

Can I add my own ideas?

Yes — use the prompt box to add details like "wearing samurai armor" or "rain in the background". We cannot accept requests for copyrighted characters or brands.

What content isn't allowed?

Your design has to be yours to use. We cannot create or print:

• Copyrighted characters, artwork or logos — from anime, manga, films, games and comics included
• Brand names, trademarks or company logos
• Someone else's photo, artwork or personal information, used without their permission
• Sexual content, hateful or discriminatory content, harassment, graphic violence or gore
• Anything illegal or deceptive, or that promotes terrorism, drugs or weapons

What is welcome: your own photos, your own ideas, and general themes. "A futuristic ninja", "a magical school hero", "a retro manga adventurer" — all fine. What we cannot do is copy a specific protected character or imitate a named artist's work, so a prompt asking for one may be declined.

Can I get just the characters, without a background?

Yes — press Remove background under the shirt preview. We cut the background away so only the artwork is printed and the shirt colour shows through around it. It is off by default, because most designs are meant to be printed exactly as they were drawn.

What happens to my photo?

Your photo is only ever used to draw your artwork — nothing else.

What sizes and colours are available?

Every design is printed on the same unisex tee:

• Sizes — S, M, L, XL, 2XL and 3XL. 2XL and 3XL cost slightly more.
• Colours — 20 to choose from: White, Black, Navy, Sport Grey, Ash, Charcoal, Dark Heather, Natural, Red, Maroon, Azalea, Orange, Gold, Light Blue, Sky, Carolina Blue, Royal, Purple, Irish Green and Military Green.

What are the shirts like?

Every order is printed on the Gildan 5000 Unisex Classic Tee — a heavyweight 5.3 oz cotton tee with a classic straight cut, a seamless collar and taped shoulders. It is the same tee wherever you live; only the factory changes. Solid colours are 100% cotton; the heathered shades (Sport Grey, Dark Heather) blend cotton with polyester for their marled look.

Your artwork is printed with DTF (direct-to-film) across a 12 × 16 inch front print area. It gives sharp edges and rich colour that stays vivid on dark shirts as well as light ones.

How do I look after my shirt?

The print will outlast the shirt if you treat it kindly. Washing and ironing inside out is the single most important habit.

• Wash cold, inside out, on a gentle cycle, with a normal amount of detergent. No fabric softener — it breaks down the print.
• Dry on low heat, or hang it up. Air-drying keeps the print looking new for longest.
• Iron inside out with a cool iron, and never directly on the print.
• Do not dry clean. The solvents and heat will damage the design.

Will the colours look exactly like they do on my screen?

Very close, but not identical. Screens emit light while ink sits on cotton, so printed colours usually read a little softer than they look on a bright display — most noticeably with vivid neons and the deepest blacks. Your monitor's own calibration shifts things too. The artwork you approve is precisely the file we print; only the medium changes. A normal screen-to-print variation is not something we can replace a shirt for, but if a colour is genuinely wrong — not the artwork you approved — that is covered in full.

How sharp will the print be?

Your artwork is generated at a fixed size, which works out at roughly 75 DPI spread across the 12 × 16 inch print area. We then upscale it to the 3598 × 4800 pixel, 300 DPI file our printer requires. Upscaling makes the file bigger rather than more detailed, so the preview on screen is an honest guide to what arrives.

In practice that suits manga art. A t-shirt is read at arm's length, not held up close, and bold ink linework and screentone stay clean at this size. Fine detail is where it shows — small lettering, or faces far back in a busy scene, can look a little softer on fabric than on screen. If you want text in your design, keep it short and large.

Where is my t-shirt printed?

Your order is routed automatically to the facility nearest you that stocks your chosen colour.

Not every colour is held at every facility. Our core colours — White, Black, Navy and Sport Grey — are stocked almost everywhere, so those orders are the most likely to be printed close to you and to arrive fastest. A less common colour may be printed at another facility and shipped in, which adds a few days and can attract import duty. When you choose your colour and size we tell you which of the two applies.

Ordering & delivery

How do I track my order?

You receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order ships.

Your shirt is made to order, so the total wait is production + delivery, and both depend on where you are. Our Shipping Policy has the full table of production times, delivery times and shipping rates for every destination.

Can I order several shirts? Is shipping cheaper?

Much cheaper. Shipping does not multiply — our carrier prices in batches and we pass the saving straight on. A new, lower rate band starts at ten shirts, and again at twenty-five and fifty. The bands are steep enough that ten shirts often cost less to ship than nine, so it is worth rounding up.

50 shirts is the maximum for one online order. Need more? Email hello@mangame.store and we will quote you directly. Checkout cannot price orders above 50, so it will not offer a shipping option for them.

Are there places you cannot ship to?

A few. Our carriers do not serve Afghanistan, Åland Islands, Algeria, Belarus, Bhutan, Bonaire, Chad, Djibouti, Ecuador, Eritrea, Iraq, Laos, Libya, Madagascar, Palestinian Territories, Russia, Saint Barthélemy, Samoa, South Sudan, Sudan, Timor-Leste, Turkmenistan, Venezuela or Yemen. No shipping rate is offered for those addresses at checkout, so you will never be charged for an order we cannot fulfil. If your country is not offered at checkout and is not on that list, email us and we will tell you whether we can reach you.

Orders to Brazil need one extra detail: Brazilian customs requires a CPF number (or CNPJ for a business) on every incoming parcel. Please put yours on the second address line at checkout. Without it the parcel can be held at customs and returned.

Can I cancel or change my order?

Within 24 hours of ordering, and before printing has begun, email hello@mangame.store and we will cancel your order and refund you in full. We can usually correct a shipping address in that window too.

We cannot change the size or colour after you order — your artwork is already prepared for that exact item, so a change means cancelling and ordering again. Once printing has begun we cannot cancel either, because the shirt carries your personal artwork and cannot be resold. If it arrives damaged, misprinted or different from what you approved, the guarantee below still applies.

Will I pay customs or import duties?

You do not have to work this out. Once you pick your country, colour and size, the site tells you right there which of these two applies:

• "Printed in your region - fastest delivery, no customs charges."
  Nothing to pay. Your shirt is printed near you and the parcel never crosses a border.
• "This colour and size is made outside your region - it takes longer and import duty may apply on delivery."
  Your local customs authority may charge duty or tax when it arrives. Try another colour — it often changes the answer.

If you would rather know before you start designing, this is the general picture:

One catch on the first row: if the colour you choose is not stocked near you, it is shipped in from another region and duty may apply — which is when you will see the second message above. White, Black, Navy and Sport Grey give you the best chance of a locally printed shirt. Any charges are set by your own country and are paid by whoever receives the parcel.

What if something is wrong with my order?

If your shirt arrives damaged, misprinted or different from what you approved, email us within 30 days of delivery with photos and we will replace it or refund you — you keep the original and pay nothing.
